President's Letter

As the 2013 President, I welcome you to the NAIOP Georgia website.  NAIOP is a professional association of developers and owners of commercial real estate, as well as the many organizations that provide the services required for the industry’s continued success.  Over 15,000 real estate professionals belong to an extensive network of 56 NAIOP chapters located in the United States and Canada. 

With over 500 members, NAIOP Georgia is among the association's largest and strongest chapters. We represent the interests of developers and owners of industrial, office and related commercial real estate companies throughout Georgia.  Between the Chapter's current board of directors, past presidents, and principal members, most major companies that own or develop commercial real estate in Georgia are represented. Much of the commercial office and industrial space in Metropolitan Atlanta has been developed by NAIOP members. 

Our Chapter's primary goals are:

• To provide networking opportunities that encourage business development and an exchange of ideas. 

• To provide stimulating and timely programs designed to inform and educate our members on topics of relevance and importance. We also provide at least 6 hours of GREC credit annually. 

• To pursue government affairs initiatives and issues that have a significant impact on  the commercial real estate industry and to keep our members informed of issues that may impact their business. 

• To provide an opportunity for our members to give back to the community and enhance the image of the commercial real estate industry through our annual charity fundraiser, NAIOP Night, and through select calls to action.  Current recipients include YES!Atlanta and the Ron Clark Academy.
